Kerry Armstrong recently attended the Red Ball wearing a stunning BCBG Max Azria gown from Oscar & Wild. The Red Ball is the signature annual fundraising event of the Fight Cancer Foundation.  All proceeds from the Red Ball enable the Fight Cancer Foundation to continue their life saving work in giving hope to children and adults with leukaemia and other life-threatening cancers through treatment, research, care and support programs.

Last week was our annual Christmas party, a celebration of another year of retail excellence with our staff, customers and friends. Oscar & Wild prides itself on quality and offering exceptional service. Without the ongoing support of our customers and the community Oscar & Wild would not be where it is today. The evening was a wild success, held at our Kew Boutique which was filled to capacity and of course for entertainment the fabulous Marina Prior graced us with her chart topping voice. A big thanks to everyone for making the evening a success and we look forward to another successful year in 2013.

Oscar & Wild recently sponsored The Lighthouse Foundation’s inaugural fundraising event, Next Melbourne, which was held on Wednesday 14th November. The event aimed to celebrate the next generation of creative talent - young people under 40 who are in the world of visual arts, fashion, advertising and music. The idea being to show the potential that young people can achieve when they have the opportunity, the passion and the support to do so - something that Lighthouse Foundation aims to do for the homeless young people that they help. Oscar & Wild presented six fashion looks for the festive season, and the event raised over $20,000.

LK by Leetal Kalmanson is one of the fastest growing jewellery names in the world. Last week we received our first drop of the latest MAWI collection and it all sold within the first day! Fear not, there is more MAWI to come and it will be just as fabulous as the first drop. We love MAWI!

On Wednesday the 24th and Thursday the 25th of October Oscar & Wild hosted an event with Mecca Cosmetica for the Spring Racing Carnival where customers were shown the latest make up trends and techniques by the fabulous Mecca Staff and then dressed in their favourite Oscar & Wild clothes. Yes, it’s officially here and I’m officially excited!

In 2012, you can pretty much pull off any frock you want in terms of trackside style trends, but I’m here to share with you all my top three Spring Racing looks for S12 with a few handy hints for that finishing touch! Remember, my key tip for the race days of Melbourne Cup Carnival, is ensuring you tie in your accessories to your frock – they don’t necessarily need to perfectly match; they need to work!
